Restaurant & terraces for fine mountain cuisine in Val Thorens

A refined and committed restaurant to awaken the taste buds and tickle the senses…, in the heart of the Vallée des Belleville, between Les Menuires and Val Thorens, on the 3 Vallées ski area.

Welcome !

Refined, creative and committed bistronomy from morning to night

The cuisine at Chez Pépé Nicolas is an invitation to discover mountain and Savoy dishes with finesse and refinement, from lunch to dinner to afternoon tea. Between tradition and culinary originality, our cuisine evolves with the winter and summer seasons.

All our dishes are made using fresh produce from our garden, our mountain pasture, the trout pond we keep on site, and our network of local producers, all of whom are committed to quality.

Chef Martial Vuillemin and his brigade are working on an assault of flavours, to surprise each and every one of our guests.

The finesse of these gestures can be felt on every plate, sculpted with aromas and generosity.

Revisited dishes, combining tradition and modernity

Our menu naturally includes the traditional Savoyard fondue, raclette or croziflette, but always with a special touch to give meaning and balance between audacity and culinary heritage. The marrow bone, farmhouse ribs, pumpkin velouté, perfect egg or Savoy vegetables are adjusted to surprise and awaken the taste buds. Farandoles of flowers and aromatic herbs from our garden light up the plates and the smiles.

Our selection of cheeses from our mountain pastures and the valley can be enjoyed fresh, accompanied by the best of our local and international wines.

Our pastry chef offers a menu of desserts as creative as they are traditional, designed for gourmets of all ages. Luminous creative treats, shortbread or creamy, crunchy or melt-in-the-mouth, colourful or floral… Stuffing, rissoles and rice pudding to be enjoyed without moderation!

The little shepherds are treated to a special menu and a play area in the great outdoors!

For the little ones, Chez Pépé Nicolas has designed the ‘Little Shepherd’s Menu’ with adapted Savoyard dishes and more classic recipes, all with a twist!

In summer, our guests’ children can play safely in our supervised play area from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, next to the “l’Arbé” chalet.

Enjoy an exceptional experience in the heart of the 3 Valleys

Chez Pépé Nicolas, a mountain restaurant in Val Thorens, above the village resort of Les Menuires, is an atypical establishment in the French Alps.
The whole team welcomes you to its mountain pasture restaurant, to ensure that your experience is a successful and unique one, and that all you want to do is come back!

A ‘tradi trendy chic’ atmosphere, an original and unique decor designed by our atmospherist, Magali. Discover deviations from everyday objects to delight the eye.

A warm, designer interior for an incomparable journey, in one of 3 themed rooms: the Cellar, the Dairy or the Barn.

Or opt for a sunny, panoramic view of the Belleville peaks, on a terrace with a blanket or straw hat, summer or winter!

During the summer season, to get to our restaurant, you’ll have to walk through a sumptuous 2,000 m² permaculture garden. This haven of peace is an invitation to contemplate the mountain flowers, aromatic herbs, fruit and vegetables lovingly cultivated by our gardener, Joseph.

Chez Pépé Nicolas is an alpine farm run by our team of shepherds and our cheese-maker. Come and discover the mountain farm animals: pigs, goats, cows, rabbits… with free access all summer long.

In winter, the Chez Pépé Nicolas restaurant is easily accessible with our private shuttle, but also by car, on foot or on skis on the La Chasse piste in the 3 Vallées ski area.
From Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens or Les Menuires, come and enjoy another mountain experience under
under its blanket of snow.

In the evening, you’ll leave with a torch, bringing your experience to a magical close.
You can also book our guided tours and themed evenings to discover other facets of the Savoyard mountains at an altitude of 2000 metres.
