departure point of the Cairn/Caron gondola and Boismint chairlift. Then take Boulevard Cumin towards the bottom of the Vallée des Belleville.

After a 25-minute walk, you reach the Pont de la Chasse. A large sign indicates the chalet. Follow the goat path on your right for about 10 minutes to reach Chez Pépé Nicolas. From the center of Val Thorens, the total duration of the tour is around 1 h 15 to 1 h 30.

It’s a great way to walk to the restaurant and enjoy the scenery before dinner.

By car from Val Thorens

From Val Thorens, head back down towards the valley floor. The restaurant is about 5 km from the resort, on a hairpin bend, with a large parking lot nearby. From the parking lot, it’s a 10-minute walk to the restaurant entrance.

By bike from Val Thorens

Chez Pépé Nicolas is accessible by mountain bike from Val Thorens by road, or by the DH9 La Transhumance mountain bike trail which starts from the resort center.

By bus from Val Thorens

From the Val Thorens bus station, you can take the shuttle bus to the restaurant area. Ask for the “La Chasse” stop. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to the chalet.

The journey takes just 5 minutes. The shuttle drops you off as close as possible to the restaurant, and the return journey can be made on skis, conditions permitting.

By car or bus in winter

From Val Thorens, you can also drive down to the Vallée des Belleville to the large parking lot on the hairpin bend. The restaurant is about a 10-minute walk away.
By bus, get off at the “La Chasse” stop on the shuttle bus that leaves from the Val Thorens bus station.
