The cuisine at Chez Pépé Nicolas is an invitation to discover mountain and Savoy dishes with finesse and refinement, from lunch to dinner to afternoon tea. Between tradition and culinary originality, our cuisine evolves with the winter and summer seasons.
All our dishes are made using fresh produce from our garden, our mountain pasture, the trout pond we keep on site, and our network of local producers, all of whom are committed to quality.
Chef Martial Vuillemin works with his brigade and the entire team at Chez Pépé Nicolas to create a storm of flavors, to surprise each of our guests.
The finesse of these gestures can be felt on every plate, sculpted with aromas and generosity.
Revisited dishes, combining tradition and modernity
As an iconic restaurant in Les 3 Vallées, our menu naturally includes traditional Savoyard fondue, raclette, and croziflette, but always with a special touch to give meaning and balance between boldness and culinary heritage. Marrow bones, farmhouse ribs, pumpkin soup, perfect eggs, and Savoyard vegetables—all these Savoyard recipes from a restaurant specializing in Savoyard cuisine are tweaked to surprise and awaken the taste buds. Farandoles of flowers and aromatic herbs from our garden light up the plates and the smiles.
Our selection of cheeses from the mountain pastures of our own cheese dairy and from the valley can be enjoyed fresh, accompanied by the best of our wines made from grape varieties from here and elsewhere.
Our pastry chef offers a menu of desserts as creative as they are traditional, designed for gourmets of all ages. Luminous creative treats, shortbread or creamy, crunchy or melt-in-the-mouth, colourful or floral… Stuffing, rissoles and rice pudding to be enjoyed without moderation!
The little shepherds are treated to a special menu and a play area in the great outdoors!
For the little ones, Chez Pépé Nicolas has designed the ‘Little Shepherd’s Menu’ with adapted Savoyard dishes and more classic recipes, all with a twist!
In summer, our guests’ children can play safely in our supervised play area from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, next to the “l’Arbé” chalet.

During the summer season, to get to our restaurant, you’ll have to walk through a sumptuous 2,000 m² permaculture garden. This haven of peace is an invitation to contemplate the mountain flowers, aromatic herbs, fruit and vegetables lovingly cultivated by our gardener, Joseph.
Chez Pépé Nicolas is an alpine farm run by our team of shepherds and our cheese-maker. Come and discover the mountain farm animals: pigs, goats, cows, rabbits… with free access all summer long.
In winter, Chez Pépé Nicolas is a ski-in ski-out restaurant in Val Thorens, easily accessible with our private shuttle, but also by car, on foot, or on skis via the La Chasse piste in the 3 Vallées ski area.
From Courchevel, Méribel, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, or Les Menuires, come and enjoy a different kind of mountain restaurant experience in Val Thorens and Les Menuires, immersed in the snow-covered Alps.
