A warm welcome to all lovers of nature and tradition!
We’re delighted to invite you to our flagship event of the year: the traditional ascent to the mountain pastures on 22 June.
It’s a day of conviviality, music and sharing.
The program:
- 8.15am: Meet in front of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville town hall to wait for the animals in a gentle mountain atmosphere (with the option of a coffee at L’Art B).
- 8.30am/8.45am: departure of the herd. You’ll have 6 km to cover at the gentle pace of the cows or the faster pace of the goats. The herd will pass through the villages of St Marcel, Praranger and Le Bettaix (where a small snack bar will be waiting for you), then the lower part of Les Menuires at Plan de l’Eau before arriving at the Chez Pépé Nicolas mountain pasture where a Savoyard meal will be served.
- 12:00am: Enjoy our delicious local specialities accompanied by our musicians throughout the meal.
Lunch menu at €28, €14 for children:
Tomme d’antan & Sérac of the farm Mozzarella-style,
Melted cheese from our Alpine pasture served in a ball of bread, cold meats, salad and mesclun salad from our garden
Pavalova: lemon meringue, raspberry & thyme jelly from our garden, fresh red fruit
- 3:00pm: milking goats with our mountain farmers
- 4:00pm: Blind test XXL, Test your musical knowledge and challenge your friends in our giant blind test on the terrace. Surprises and prizes to be won!
- 6:00pm: Alpine evening: DJ, BBQ, outdoor bar. All you need to dance and have fun!
Dinner menu at €32, €15 for children:
Onion soup au gratin with Meule des Belleville or Tomato and basil gazpacho, Mozzarella-style Alpine cheese, Barbecued ribs, mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables
Chocolate brownie, Morello cherry sorbet
