Welcome to Chez Pépé Nicolas for a wonderful getaway in the heart of Belleville

At Pépé Nicolas, it’s a family affair, that of Nicolas JAY, a Belleville alpagiste (goat herder), who acquired the “La Chasse” hill in 1957 to graze his goats and cows.
His grandsons, then his great-grandchildren, Margot, Lucie, and Valentin, took over the farm and turned it into a unique place, with values of authenticity, sharing, environmental protection, and the pursuit of excellence.

Today, the essence of the Suchet family is taking the time to savor the moment in the heart of the 3 Valleys with:

All our dairy products are made from milk sourced from our alpine farm. The cheeses sold in our shop are produced on site by our master cheesemaker in our production workshop and stored in our maturing cellar, here at an altitude of 2,000 meters.

And for a village atmosphere...

The Suchet family invites you to discover their second restaurant in the center of the village of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville: Le Montagnard.

This restaurant (awarded one Gault&Millau toque) is housed in the former stables of our great-grandfather, Pépé Nicolas, thus preserving a strong link with our family history. Here you can enjoy subtle cuisine that blends local traditions with culinary imagination.
