By road :

From Val Thorens, 5KM, take the main road down the valley.  There is a big car park on a hair pin bend, then five minutes on foot.

From Les Menuires, 2KM, Take the main road that goes up to Val Thorens. The carpark is at the third hairpin bend, on leaving Les Menuires. You leave the car here and then walk for five minutes.

 

By car :

Take the A43 to Albertville then the road to Moûtiers (26km) coming off at exit 40 signposted for the Belleville valley. Bypass the resort of Les Menuires, follow the sign for Val Thorens and at the third hairpin bend you will find a big carpark. Chez Pépé Nicolas is a five minute walk away.

 

On ski ( closed  since 2 April 2016 ).

You can now get to Chez Pépé Nicolas on skis from the new La Chasse piste, which will be open from the start of the winter season 2015-2016.

La Chasse is a red run situated in the Plein Sud sector.  It follows on from Pluviomètre and goes all the way down to Boulevard Cumin. This development will open up lots of new circuits in the ski area making the main pistes less crowded.

 

If you are skiing Meribel and the Three Valleys, on arrival at Col de la Chambre at the top of the Côte Brune gondola, we advise you to take the blue run, Mont de la Chambre, then another blue run, Plan du Bouquet, (which you access from the top of the Montaulever drag lift) and then the red run, La Chasse.

If you are coming from Val Thorens, in the Plein Sud ski area, take the blue run Pluviomètre, then Boulevard Echauds, and finally the red run,La Chasse.

By shuttle:
There is a free shuttle which departs from the Les Menuires bus station and will take you to the free car park, five minutes away on foot from our chalet Chez Pépé Nicolas. To find out about the bus times: shuttles.

 

On foot:

Head out of Les Menuires, direction Val Thorens. You will find a big car park at the third hairpin bend on the right. Park and then walk seven minutes up a road that is passable by car or four by four.  For those staying in Les Menuires, you can reach 'Chez Pépé Nicolas' quite easily on foot. Start at the Valmont residence in Les Bruyeres, take the public lift to the Adonis residence car park. Follow the signs to Val Thorens. The 'La Chasse' car park is about 5 minutes walk away, followed by a 7 minute walk up hill to 'Chez Pépé Nicolas' on the snow.

 

Snow shoeing excursions from Val Thorens:

1.Take Le Sentier des montagnettes, a south facing path in the direction of Les Menuires which arrives at the Bruyères gondola mid station. This route offers fantastic, sunny views of the Belleville valley. 45 mins.

2. Take the free gondola down to Bruyères, 10 mins

3. From Bruyères, go to the résidence Valmont, then take the public lift to the car park of the résidence Adonis. Follow the main road to Val Thorens. It takes approximately 10 minutes from the Adonis car park to the ' La Chasse' car park.

To get back to Val Thorens, take the free Belleville valley shuttle bus. The bus will stop at the La Chasse car park on request. The bus stops at 13.30, 15.15, 17.45.
