The Farm > The educational farm

At pépé nicolas, it is every day from 1st July to 31st August

The open farm of the Savoyard restaurant in Val Thorens

The Savoyard restaurant Chez Pépé Nicolas is tied to its terroir and its roots. Established here for generations, the restaurant’s owners have preserved their traditions and the best of their way of life. And they have a real desire to share this authentic life in the heart of the mountains. Introducing you to local dishes and offering you mountain gastronomy in an Alpine restaurant in Val Thorens would not be complete without showing you the work that goes into making local products. For us, creating the open farm was a logical step, and it delights customers of the Val Thorens restaurant, visitors and children.

Visit our restaurant here.

In the morning, you can watch cheese being made; in the afternoon, you can participate in the manual milking of the goats and cows, or just watch the pigs and other farmyard animals wandering about in the sunshine.
A mountain farm with goats, geese, chickens, pigs, rabbits and cows. An exceptional panorama that will delight children and adults alike.

In June and early July, as well as in September, we welcome school groups and offer educational workshops that can be followed by a farmhouse tea. This is the opportunity to discover our Alpine vegetable garden, then follow the paths of our summer walks that will take you through the Belleville  and Ménuires valleys and to the heights of Val Thorens.

The open farm of the Val Thorens restaurant Chez Pépé Nicolas was voted No. 2 of the most beautiful farms in France by the Grand-Mercredi website.
